National Parks
We are Meghan and Abraham Benavides! When we got married in 2019, one of the best gifts we received was an annual National Parks Pass. We had to move from Washington DC to Colorado and drove the 1,680 miles ourselves! When we had to move again for work, we bought another annual pass and drove another 1,428 miles to get from Colorado to Seattle, Washington. We became National Park enthusiasts and advocates.
Abraham was a doctor, and Meghan, a teacher on the front lines of the pandemic. Abraham had to leave his residency position after a long battle with COVID and Long-COVID, which he caught while serving patients in the hospital. We've seen a lot of the ugliness in America.
However, as we lived and traveled across America, we have also appreciated the amazing people and landscapes that this country has to offer. We have hiked the most challenging three miles of our lives at Fossile Butte, we have had our breath taken away at Black Canyon of Gunnison, and we have taken the elevator to the top of Gateway National Park. We have camped in Yellowstone (and quite frankly never wanted to leave), and seen trout jump at Olympic National Park to name just a few examples. We love National Parks and we love the people we have met along the way and want to share this love with you in our NFTs.
